When someone says they have a 2 to 5 override trany do they still have first gear?

I have a 1 to 5 duneable override with N-down. I don’t ever use 1st gear and don’t like having to click up 2 gears when at the light. I would like to see if I can have 1st gear removed and go straight into 2nd.

After I clear my alky bike out at the pre stage and stage light. It makes me always wonder if I am in first or second. When I should be focusing on the lights instead of what gear I am in.

Do they make a N-down 2 to 5 duneable without first gear on the gear shaft?

yes they do but wouldnt it be easer to gear higher so you start in 1st and not use last gear that would work at the dunes too

In most every case launching in second gear will net a quicker et if the bike is correctly geared. 1st gear on a banshee is so low you have to shift very quick if your bike is modded at all. I would have 1st removed myself and never have to worry about what gear I was in. When I started launching in 2nd vs 1st I picked up a little over a .10 and cut my 60ft by almost 2 tenths!

You could have Nuetral put back in the middle, but that makes me nervous cleaning a bike out.
It's never bothered me clicking up twice to launch...but I have gone all the way down to N then up twice just to be sure.
With the bike running and rolling forward up to prestage, never had a problem going right into second gear...

I don't run my bike pig fat on the bottom, so it cleans out with just a couple raps on the throttle.
