Any of you guys ever check the balance of your oem banshee flywheel?
If so, then was it off much?
The inside of mine got a little beat up from the stator bolts coming loose so I thought it might be a good idea to have it checked.
Who does balancing?

Years ago i asked crank works about balancing a flywheel, and they told me they didn't do that. Did they start recently?

I went down to Crankworks last year and I think Phil said that they can balance the banshee flywheels but it is really not worth it. He said they are usually close.
This post is a couple years old but the topic is still valid. I ended up using another flywheel in this situation.
For the record, I talked to someone who said they would try different banshee flywheels on the dyno and some worked much better than others. I never got a chance to try this for myself. Matt, have you ever tried swapping flywheels to see any gains in hp?

yes, haven't seen an hp or tq gain from a balanced to a non balanced flywheel but I'm testing on a balanced engine.

Aren't they balanced at the factory on their respective OEM crank? It seems all of them would be off a little once you change cranks if that is the case. Wouldn't they have to be installed on the crank to be balanced, not just balanced alone?

Banshee flywheels are balanced to 0. They arent used to balance the crank such as on a big block chevy. Usually they are off from the factory but I dont thing there is a huge HP gain in balancing them just easier on the rest of the parts.
