I got this with a parts bike, it's a model DT-51K. Couple of questions for whoever has one or knows about them. The screen has a black color to it but when I put batteries in it it will change back to normal. Is this normal? It isn't powering on, I've read on their site and it states something like it will come on when it senses the engine running? I have 2 cables that came with it, one for the EGT and a yellow one with a copper end like a washer...what's that one for? I dont have my motor right now to try it on so I'm trying to learn more about this and if I should run it or not...thanks

I did email them yesterday and they seem very helpful. Sounds like I'm missing my tach cord. I'm shipping it to them tomorrow to them to test my LCD issues cause they said that model should power on without it hooked up. Hopefully it isn't much wrong, if any.

Yes they told me I had a bad LCD and they cleaned the unit for me. Total with a new tach cable is around 85$....not too bad.
