Lastly, before you go pulling any fuel away at all I would do some plug checks!

From the testing i've done its not the length of the air filter its how close the back of the air filter is to the carb. All of my bikes make the same power and torque on the dyno with or without air filters. If your loosing power with air filters put a spacer on it and move it back or try a larger filter.
