Im trying to put my motor back together but the guy who had it before me had a .010 basket on it. Im putting back together just the way it was but Im having a problem finding a base gasket. They make .012 base gasket but not to many .010. Wondering if anybody nw were I might be able to find one or if I'm gonna have to make one myself?

Keep in mind that the thickness of the gasket only matters when the cylinder is bolted on and the gasket squishes down. Some gaskets squish down more than others. I would take a squish measurement with the old setup then compare to the new setup. If you are really anal, then that is only way you will know for sure that you have an exact match.

With that said, I would just run the .012 gasket but I would check the squish with it just to make sure.
Just a little more hp and I should be set.

i wouldnt even think twice about .002 difference. the +/- margin of error in the manufacturing process is probly almost that much
