Below is a little write up with pics/vid of the Dirt Drags at Victoria, TX.
Last night, my buddy ("Chase") and I took our Kawasaki V-forces to a local 250' dirt drag race held in Victoria, TX. This was my V-force's first drag race since I built the AMR 730 motor for it last Spring. I wasn't expecting much from my V b/c I haven't yet installed my nitrous kit or upgraded the clutches. I just wanted to see how it ran with the paddle tires and wheelie bar set-up and have a little fun. It ran good, but didn't measure up to the competition.
A total of 5 bikes showed up for the drag races and our V's were not even in the same league as the other 3 quads. lol
Chase summed up the races best when he said it felt like he brought a butter knife to a gun fight!
Regardless of how we finished, Chase and I both had fun and it was great to meet and race with Shawn, Nick and Darrel.
In the end, I took 4th and Chase took 5th. I never got an exact time for my V b/c they only announced the winner's time for each race over the loud speakers and they didn't give out time slips. When I asked for my best time, I was told I got a 4.something.

Below is a vid posted by Darrel...this is Chase and me racing each other. (The one with headlights turned on is my KFX 730). As you can see, the paddle tires and bar was a big help for me...those upgrades would have helped Chase launch better.

The winner was Gator Montayne (aka "Shawn") on his sweet R1 powered drag quad. As I recall, his best time was 3.651 seconds on this 250' dirt track. The trucks drag raced after the ATVs and I don't think any of them even came close to this time!

The 2nd place finisher ("Nick") had an 800cc sno-mo powered Polaris drag quad. As I recall, Nick was running around 4.0 to 4.2's on this track.
Here is Nick's quad
The 3rd place finisher (Darrel) had a fast banshee (not sure what all mods he had). Sorry, didn't get any pics of his quad.
Here's a few more pics of my KFX 730 with the paddles and bar mounted.
Happy trails...
